When Did We Start With Music?
We both have a long history with music, exploring different instruments and genres before diving into house. Yazmani started with bass guitar, playing in a band for 12 years before trying vocals and later transitioning to DJing, which he's been fully dedicated to for the past six years.
Sil began as a drummer but found his passion in piano and songwriting, shaping him into the producer he is today. His grooves? Straight fire. Producing for five years now, his skills on the keys and drums shine in every track.
Music has always been our thing. We believe great artists draw from different genres. We love sampling, and the more you explore, the more creative you get. That's the real magic.
What Does Music Mean To Us?
Music has always been a part of our lives, bringing us together despite growing up on different sounds—salsa, soul, disco, R&B, rap, and house. That shared love for diverse music is what connects us.
We are opposites in many ways, but music bridges those differences. One of us finds a groove, the other flips the script. Over time, this dynamic has only strengthened our bond. We started as music partners and became like brothers. Music is our language.
Does Fashion Play a Role in Our Shows?
Definitely, but in a natural way. Yazmani leans into streetwear, while Sil prefers a clean, casual vibe. We aim for cohesion while matching the energy we bring on stage. Our style is a mix of laid-back and stylish, which is why we love brands like Quotrell that fit both of our aesthetics. Yazmani brings streetwear energy, Sil keeps it smooth. Balance is everything.
How Did Capron Start & What’s The Meaning Behind The Name?
Capron was born in 2021 during the lockdown. Yazmani was already DJing while Sil was starting out in production. At first, our styles were worlds apart. One was into underground sounds, the other into tech house. But we instantly clicked. The chemistry was undeniable. As we kept making tracks, we started getting booked as a duo. While brainstorming names, we found "Capron," an Italian WWI aircraft manufacturer known for bombers. It fit our vibe: dropping bombs on the dancefloor.
What’s The Key To Success?
Nowadays, making music is just one piece of the puzzle. You gotta handle marketing, position yourself in the scene, network with labels and artists, manage social media, and focus on branding—it’s a whole business. Our secret? We balance each other out. One of us focuses more on production, while the other ensures the whole package is tight. That way, we both grow in our own lanes without getting lost in the noise.
But above all, success is about consistency. You gotta show up every day. That’s how you level up. The game is about constant progress, and the only way to make it is by investing in yourself—and in each other. Stay open to new ideas, step outside your comfort zone, and never box yourself in.
Sometimes, you gotta be the black sheep. Take risks. Carve your own lane. Nobody ever made it big by playing it safe. That’s our key to success: focus, consistency, and the guts to be different.
